The migratory movement from Europe during the 1950s
brought to Venezuela new, progressive and entrepreneur blood. People who
left behind countries, cities and fields destroyed as result of the Second
World War, did not want more penalties. They were looking for peace, and
in this new land they found peace. In addition, they were welcomed by
open arms to a broaden horizon, almost virgin, propitious for hard workthough
peaceful; therefore, constructive, and with infinitive possibilities to
reach their goals. Some, after succeeding, returned to their country of origin.
Others, beyond their success, began to fall in love with this new ground,
electing Venezuela as a mother to their sons and the sons of their sons.
Within this group of admirable and notable immigrants, Italian Sabino
Di Silvio gives origin to our company. Di Silvio started his path as a builder contractor to the risen company AVON in Venezuela, where he participated in the remodeling of Avon's first site in the urban development of Las Acacias in Caracas, where the dynamics of the cosmetic organization within Venezuela began. |
With dedication, Sabino was effecting the works of rebulding,
while the Director of AVON who had contracted him, observed his performance
with admiration, due to his responsible attitude, the strict fulfillment
of his work, his constant goodwill and friendly disposition; but most
of all, for his integrity and honesty. Little did Sabino that the person
who was silently admiring his qualities and ethics was reserving a surprise
for him and his two very young sons, Francesco and Angelo. The director
of Avon in Venezuela was ready to hand Sabino and his sons the delivery
of all AVON products directly to their Representatives, along with the
respective collection, representing considerable daily amounts. When Sabino got the news, he expressed amazement, realizing that a multinational company, so strict and demanding had given him and his family such responsibility. The response that he received from the Director of AVON at that time was premonitory: He said, "Sabino, I am very young also, and AVON has already given me big responsibilities. Knowing you, and your sons, I feel relaxed and confident with my decision; I do not know how to say it in Italian, but here we would say: "Like father, like son". If you all keep you united, you will also become a big enterprise. If I am wrong, "Time will tell".

It was 1960. TRANSPORTE DI SILVIO
was just born. 43 years have past and "time has told". The prediction
of that young executive has become a reality.
